Arynne SIMON SUGGESTS:
for Valentine's Day 2004 1.OVER-DO IT You know his/her favorite treat so go overboard and buy a dozen boxes of Oreo Cookies, or boxes and boxes of golf balls, or a dozen of his/her favorite T-shirts, or if a favorite is steak get a huge number of them from Omaha Steaks so the freezer is stacked with your loving gesture. 2. MAKE MUSIC Buy every CD that he/she doesn¹t have of his/her favorite artist. 3. GET AWAY Pack his/her bag, book a room at an inn, call ahead to have his/her favorite drink chilling in the room, and just go. ‹ having never said a word about this treat. If practical, call his/her office and tell them not to expect him back on Monday. 4. GET IT ON FILM Pull your significant other into a photo booth and kiss for the camera. Tuck the little black and white evidence in his/her car visor or somewhere it will be seen very often. 5. BOOK IT Spend an hour together on Valentine's Day wandering around a book store. Wander hand in hand and show each other favorite books. Be sure to buy each other a special book before you leave. 6. LOVE SCENES Everyone has favorite love scene from a film. Have a discussion about which they are and find out what makes them special. Buy or rent that film and play it on Valentine's Day. 7. DRIVE EACH 0THER CRAZY Surprise your partner by arranging a test drive in the car of his/her dreams. 8. DO GOOD Do something special and nice for someone in his/her family. 9. PILLOW TALK On Valentine¹s evening put a favorite candy bar or other special favorite treat on his/her pillow. 10. TAKE TURNS Buy a book of love poems and try reading one to your partner. So what if it reduces you both to laughter ‹ that's a main ingredient in lasting love. Arynne Simon Says: "A loving, playful approach will turn every day into Valentine's Day."
